A MODULAR BLOCK WALL...carefull
excavation and being sure not to over dig your soil is important.
You must use a well drained washed gravel compacted to 6 to 8"
under your first course of wall block. It's important to start
level, and again use a washed gravel back fill approximately 12"
behind the wall. This gravel must be systematically compacted
as it is backfilled, being sure not to move the wall as it is
being built. Walls that are taller then 4 feet, must have a geo-grid
fabric incorporated into the construction of the wall to help
stabilize it. You should also have the
wall professionally designed, and built by a competent contractor
such as us.
