START WITH A STRONG FOUNDATION COMPACTION. PREPARE SUB-GRADE(below stone base) level and compact. PROPER DEPTH...
of stone base material on new
paving jobs. We like to use 8" to 12" of stone base. Now we regrade
existing stone base. Before paving, we usually use additional stone
for leveling and shimming up, to bring it to our high standards!
DON'T BE FOOLED!
. BY FAST TALK!... A heavier
roller is important to set the stone base, compress and compact it
to the proper density. The blacktop paving job is
only as good as the base! We use our 6-8 ton vibratory asphalt roller
to do the job. On bigger jobs and parking lots, we use our heavy duty
10 ton dirt compaction roller.
NOW. we
are ready to pave...! APPLYING a generous thickness of asphalt allows
us to roll with our heavy roller for density. Our light finish roller
is used for the finish sealing and good looks. This removes lines, and
seals the surface to keep water out. With our paving jobs it's not neccessary
to seal coat for up to 5 yrs!
TRUCKS AND EQUIPMENT... make the difference. Applying the hot blacktop quickly and continously from start to finish, and rolling while hot...results in the best possible job! So...having enough trucks getting to the job, a state of the art paver, a good finish roller...and of course a highly experienced crew make the job...the best available!... That's a MAGGIO JOB!
